Jack Stekelenburg

It was 2005 and the time was right. Stekelenburg took a course in welding, initially so he could create garden art blue herons, but upon completing the course he lost all interest in garden art and began his journey into abstract metal sculptures. At first his art was simple, in fact so much so that his friends called some of his earlier work, "boat anchors", but that did not dissuade him. Over the next few years his work has evolved into a personal and unique style that is not seen anywhere else.

Recently Stekelenburg added a blacksmith forge and a plasma cutter to his arsenal of tools at his disposal allowing him to shape and manipulate metal in a much greater and unique manner.
